The Animal Welfare Advisory Council (“the Council”) is a non-statutory body established to provide independent expert scientific advice to the NSW Government on animal welfare matters and proposed regulations to support the delivery of the NSW Animal Welfare Action Plan. My role is as an independent, academic advisor This requires sharing of my expert knowledge which results from a significant number of years teaching and researching contemporary animal science across a wide range of animal species.
