Australian Art: Out Standing in The FieldA public lecture surveying Australian art from 1960 to 1980.
Synopsis: "It's not easy to love, but it's groovy and all the walls are silver. In this lecture we explore the abstraction of 'The Field' (1968) and the impact of the Vietnam War on Australian art. We'll push through a crisis and the phenomenon of cultural cringe to outline unique Australian pop, punk, conceptual and performance art."
