Description
Museums & Galleries of NSW (M&G NSW) and Bathurst Regional Art Gallery (BRAG) hosted a video projection mapping workshop for Central West artists and arts professionals. Projection mapping is a video projection technology in which video is mapped onto a surface, such as buildings or objects.Presented by Dara Gill, founder of Lupa, and projection artists Craig Walsh and Steven Thomasson. I collaborated with fellow program participants and learnt how to get the most from a projector and the fundamentals of creating a projection mapping project. This training workshop was part of a series of workshops organised by M&G NSW for the Let’s Get Digital project, encouraging small to medium museums and galleries in NSW to embrace digital engagement strategies.
This workshop offered rich community and network building, along with professional develeopment in video technologies and projection; offering good links to current pracitcal skills sets required for L&T.
