16-week Program Objective:

FOBJBS ran three workshops and three 2-hour video-conference feedback sessions over a period of 16 weeks in 201760. Two workshops will be delivered by video conference, and one will be face-to-face. Each workshop will teach some of the principles of how to write an application for external funding for research. We will focus on writing a 5-7 page EOI, Industry Funding Proposal, or ARC grant. This will require focused, concise, high quality writing, budget planning, and collaborative activities to identify and develop a research idea which can then be expanded into a full proposal. 

The program will be supported by senior researchers who have significant grant writing experience and success in winning and managing projects that are externally funded. Senior researchers will be involved as presenters in the workshops and as mentors who will read and comment on participants’ proposals.
