Consultation to develop a NSW Government Intellectual Disability Mental Health (IDMH) Strategy

Description

Invited as a NSW Divisional Council member of Occupational Therapy Australia to participate in a research consultation about improving services for people with both an intellectual disability and mental health support needs. The NSW Ministry of Health (the Ministry) is working to strengthen services for people who live with both intellectual disability and mental health needs. As part of this work, the Ministry has contracted the SPRC to consult with people and professionals in the mental health and disability sectors. The findings from the consultations will inform an Intellectual Disability Mental Health (IDMH) Strategy. The Strategy will support NSW Health to plan future services and policy to meet the needs of people with intellectual disability and co-occurring mental health problems.
