Course review and course revitalisation

Activity: Engagement and professional developmentContent creation/deliveryAcademic

Description

Review and subsequent re-design of the BAAppSci (Outdoor recreation and ecotourism).

Excerpt from reflection document attached to relation output below.
Artefacts: The course review and redesign resulted in six discrete, yet interrelated artefacts, the contents all of which were deemed professional in confidence for the duration of the review and projected subsequent implementation. Therefore they are not hosted (or referred to) on CRO, but held in DOMS: A survey-based assessment of desirable graduate skills attributes as perceived by former graduates,[1] the job readiness of the graduates as perceived by the industry,[2] an examination of industry perceptions of emerging and future directions of the Outdoor Recreation Industry in Australia,[3] and an in-depth assessment of competitors in the tertiary sector.[4] The revitalisation component entailed an assessment of structural aspects of the projected new degree offering,[5] as well as a detailed analysis of course design and subject selection requirements to ensure that future graduates could seamlessly upskill as secondary school teachers in all states of Australia.[6]
