Description
EEL516 Foundations of Learning & Teaching in Higher Education introduces participants to professional development planning and to the key issues and challenges in planning, designing and facilitating learning in higher education. The subject addresses the needs of academic probation at CSU and is based on the criteria for becoming a Higher Education Academy (HEA) Associate Fellow. Participants prepare a Professional Development Plan that helps them identify their teaching strengths and development needs and to choose a pathway through a menu of modules structured around three HEA Areas of Activity. Participants complete authentic assessments related to their teaching practice and develop a reflective narrative on their learning and achievement with respect to the subject learning outcomes. Participants are required to demonstrate completion of the Indigenous Cultural Competency Program as an essential component of this subject.Despite either poor engagement (MRS351) or constructive criticisms (MRS252) I feel positive coming out of these surveys. Workload has previously restricted my ability however in 2022 I will be able to finally complete the EEL subject and I firmly believe this will enhance my subject delivery and reflective abilities.
