Description

This is the first time that this subject is being offered. The subject outline was developed before I returned work. It is a yearlong subject and hence we have only got the first assessment item marked. We had one student on the borderline Pass, and two HDs. From the interaction in the online meetings, the cohort is quite engaging. However, I do find that they rely on me or my feedback rather than their self-learning from the I2 site. Challenges in the online teaching is about engagement. I have been using breakout rooms, discussions, peer evaluation to try to motivate the cohort in their learning.

For the next offering, the subject outline requires significant change, especially on the learning outcomes, which need to be modified to reflect the level of competency and categorize of competency required of junior cadet engineers.
