Description
The FOBJBS HDR Conference (formerly known as HDR Symposium) provides HDR students with an opportunity to network with other students and academics in the Faculty, present their research, and seek broader feedback on their progress.All HDR students in the School of Computing and Mathematics are encouraged to submit a n extended abstract of their research. The extended abstract should be no more than 2 pages and must be formatted as per the template provided. The extended abstracts will be reviewed by an academic and another student. Students will be invited to present their extended abstracts in the Conference. As usual, the Conference will include a keynote address by a distinguished guest speaker and presentations by senior academics.
Submission Guidelines
Closely adhere to attached template and submit your extended abstract as a word document via email to Emma Humphries at [email protected]. Extended Abstracts that do not comply with the required formatting criteria will be returned and will be at risk of being rejected. Work submitted in extended abstracts should be original. Do not recycle previously published or currently submitted work.
It will be expected that extended abstracts will be converted to full papers to be submitted in reputable conferences or journals in the near future in consultation with your supervisors.

There will be one award presented in the Conference:
Best Extended Abstract Award
All HDR students will receive a Certificate of Participation
