Description
Future Directions is an opportunity for Year 9 students in the Central West to explore the Charles Sturt campus, to meet and, have hands on workshops with Charles Sturt academics. These students have the opportunity for interact with current students to talk about what it is really like to be a university student. These experiences are foundational in regional and remote students being confident in choosing university as an option after school. I have been assisting Future Moves with workshop delivery since 2018. For this Future Directions Day, I designed and facilitated two Communication discipline workshops taking place with the Bathurst campus television studio. These workshops covered the basics in idea generation, script development, on-camera performance, communication and presentation, and television production.
