Activity: Supervision/Examination/MentoringInternal HDR Supervision

Description

The research is embedded in an ongoing project called the Early Childhood Educator Well-being Project. It will investigate the relationship between (i) early childhood educator well-being and educator-infant interaction quality; (ii) the quality of early childhood education work environments and educator-infant interactions; (iii) work environment quality and educator well-being; and (iv) whether EC educator well-being mediates a relationship between work environments and educator-infant relationships.

The project will collect data on educator well-being, the quality of the work environment, and educator-infant interactions. The data will be analysed for statistical relationships (i) to (iii)

The research is predicted to find significant correlations between (i) educator well-being and educator-infant interaction quality; (ii) work environment quality and educator well-being; and (iii) work environment quality and educator-infant interactions. It is also predicted to find evidence that the correlation between workplace quality and educator-infant relationships is mediated by the well-being of EC educators.
