Launching Hope, an Exhibition

Public lecture title 'Hope' at the launch of the 'Hope, An Exhibition' event.

Brief abstract
I wonder what you have hope in. Who has hope in Cinderella helping them during difficult times? What about Harry Potter? Chocolate bunnies? Humanity? Neighbours? Community? Our future? Politics? Money? Science? God? Anything else? In 2024, Tearfund research showed that only 48% of Australians were hopeful about their future, and only 25% were hopeful about our world. Sadly, many of us lack hope. Im this public lecture, I share how I am eager to see a day when 100% of Australians are hopeful about their future. I remind, that in our world, there are a lot of people creating hope during uncertainty, and in the public lecture, I focused on three areas that encourage people to have hope: music, the Bible and community. I also drew upon two CSU research projects: (i) a collaboration about the recruitment, retention, and wellbeing strategies for rural NGO mental health workers and (ii) a collaboration on community partnerships growing hope.
