    Description

    Carp Management Workshop

The workshop will be run by carp experts Katie Doyle and Cameron McGregor from the Charles Sturt University. Katie has over 10 years of experience in freshwater ecology, completed her PhD on the management of invasive common carp in the Murray-Darling Basin and has been part of various carp projects. Cameron has held several positions for both New South Wales and Victorian fisheries departments and has researched native fish and carp. Katie and Cameron will help us gain a better understanding of how to minimize the negative impact of carp without the use of expensive techniques such as electrofishing or trapping by contractors, methods which are often not feasible for private land holders or community groups.
