Description

This panel was organized by the Melbourne Institute of Technology for its students and I was invited to be on this panel.

Some questions we will be looking at will be along of the lines of the future of work, but specifically how we will collaborate to create knowledge in 5, 10, or 20 years:
•How will teams work inter- and intra-departmentally?
•How will research and information be published and retrieved?
•How will businesses, from start-ups to multinationals, work together?
Other things we might want to cover are:
•The role of XR and virtual worlds
•Changes in funding sources
•Library futures

--The preparation for this talk and the conversation that we have had informed my thinking about the role of technology in work and I am using these ideas in my online lectures to students both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
