Description
The National Congress of Women is an initiative of the Women’s Climate Congress to lead a women’s movement for collaborative action on climate change – to promote a national plan that will bring the nation together and restore care for the Earth and nurture of life to the centre of all our action on climate. Over two 1-day online events (Tuesday 30 November 2021 and Thursday 28 April 2022) and a 2-day face-to-face conference in Canberra (mid-September 2022) the National Congress of Women will include deep conversation and learning, authentic connection and community building, artistic expression, collaborative action planning, and interaction with elected representatives. Together, we aim to lead a movement for a collaborative national plan on climate change – a plan to bring the nation together and restore care for the Earth and nurture of life to the centre of all our action on climate.
