Description
Engagement with academics from the Social Welfare Department at Nihon Fukushi University. CSU research team - Dr Bernadette Moorhead and Associate Professor Karen Bell. The overall aim of the visit was to consolidate the research partnership between CSU and NFU. During the visit, a seminar was presented on the current research project (on professional identity, with Professor Kyoko Otani) and another seminar was presented on international student mobility. During the visit, planning was undertaken for future staff and student exchanges. For example, in August 2020, the Dean (Professor Risako Komatsu) and Professor Otani will visit CSU WW; in November 2020, a group of CSU social work and human services students will visit NFU as part of their study abroad program (funded by DFAT New Colombo Plan funding). An additional seminar on supervision in social work was also delivered by CSU academics (Moorhead & Bell) to a group of senior social work academics from universities across Japan.Period | 04 Feb 2020 → 12 Feb 2020 |
