Description

Simulation Working Group
From reflection:
I have worked in paramedic education and training in both the clinical and higher education settings and recognise the importance of simulation education in developing technical and non-technical skills essential for clinical practice.
As a member of the Simulation Working Group I had the opportunity to have input into simulation education for paramedic students to ensure that there specific needs were met. The experience also provided me with the opportunity to work with staff from other health disciplines within the school and develop an understanding of how simulation supports their students in developing the skills they need for clinical practice as well. On reflection, this was a rewarding experience, not only to have input into developing an educational framework proposal for simulation for paramedic students, but also to learn and appreciate the needs of other students in simulation education and training and to ensure that all students have the opportunity to develop and enhance their technical and non-technical skills in a supportive learning environment.
