Perceptions of patients with premature coronary artery disease and their families to being screened for Familial Hypercholesterolaemia during inpatient admission.

Activity: Supervision/Examination/MentoringInternal HDR Supervision

Description

To analyse the perspectives of patients with premature coronary artery disease who have been screened for Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (FH) during their inpatient admission. Because FH is a familial condition, perspectives of family members will be invited. The information collected will be used to assess and evaluate the implementation of the inpatient assessment process and inform its ongoing design and implementation. This phase 1 study will be used to inform the development of a patient experience survey which will be used to gain patient feedback during ongoing development of the inpatient assessment process.
