This presentation explores the transforming power of the lived experience of history in teaching. The aims of the presentation are:
* To show how lectures by people who are retired and who have the lived experience of working in a profession can inspire students
* To explain how lectures can create research opportunities
* To share how lectures can promote community engagement
* To share how a lecture can become a board game, useful for sharing knowledge with colleagues
