Description
This PD session was about Authentic criterion referencing (Rubrics) for Assessments. I have had experience over many years in developing assessments however have found rubrics to be challenging. One of the key messages I took from this session was to put yourself in the student's position when reading the rubric. As a student, do I understand exactly what I need to do to achieve a HD or D for example. Also it is important to question: is the language clear and the criteria objective? This was a very good presentation which has given me the opportunity to reflect on my processes I have used in the past when developing rubrics.
