Description

This module considers the key features of research cultures and how they support the development of positive work environments. This module also encourages research supervisors to examine their own supervisory practices in supporting candidates to engage with the wider research environment, build networks and foster collaborations and personal experience of supervision with a view to informing and framing the working relationship with their doctoral candidate. While this module focuses on building relationships within the first six months, it also summarises the supervisors' roles and responsibilities in creating respectful and inclusive relationships with candidates and aligning expectations for productive working relationships.
