Sydney Food Innovator Stories: ArcGIS StoryMaps

Activity: Engagement and professional developmentPublic outreachCommunity

The Sydney Food Innovator Stories were initially developed as part of a research project title is Mapping Urban-Driven Innovations for Sustainable Food Systems and specifically - a workshop that piloted the Food-SCAN Tool. The Food Innovation journeys were mapped using paper, pens, glue and symbolic icons, and involved narrative storytelling to explore, understand and capture social innovation in urban food systems in Sydney. Follow up in-depth interviews were conducted with a number of the innovators.

These stories were created in ArcGIS to enable broader digital access. These stories have been drawn from the

workshop audio recordings,
original paper journey maps and
interview transcripts.
