Narrandera’s iconic koalas are at the forefront of an exciting research project to assess the population, health and genetics of the free-ranging colony. A team from NSW NPWS (Olivia Kemp, Rachel Labador, Amy Miller, Tim Scanlon, Tim Johnson and veterinarian Aditi Sriram), professional koala catcher George Madani, and CSU academic and veterinarian Dr Joanne Connolly visited Narrandera to research the koalas with local indigenous ranger Lee Reavley.
