CSU Hosts Davis-Thompson Foundation Seminar

Professor Francisco Uzal, of the University of California, Davis delivered a seminar entitled "Equine gastrointestinal pathology", at the School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences (SAVS), on Monday 18th December.  Prof Uzal, a leading expert on clostridial diseases of animals, travelled to CSU under the auspices of the Davis-Thompson Foundation. The seminar included a special focus on clostridial diseases and was attended, among others, by equine medicine specialists and residents, pathologists and veterinary science or equine science students and was very well received. Professor Uzal was hosted at CSU by SAVS and Graham Centre member Dr Panayiotis Loukopoulos.

The Davis-Thompson Foundation [http://www.cldavis.org/​] is the largest provider of education on veterinary pathology worldwide; this was one of a few Davis-Thompson Foundation seminars in Australia and the first at CSU.
