Description

Australia has added two new groups to its list of designated terrorist organisations.

They are the white supremacist group, called The Base, and the Iranian backed Islamist group, Hezbollah.

The Base originated in America in 2018 and is the second far right group to be designated as terrorist by Australia. Experts say it's welcome, but still just the start, after a string of warnings about the growing far right threat.
