Mahir Habib, a distinguished PhD candidate, supervised by Associate Professor Ashad Kabir as principal supervisor, from the School of Computing, Mathematics, and Engineering at Charles Sturt University (CSU), is set to make a notable impact as a finalist in the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition.

Reflecting on his PhD journey, Mahir remarked: “While the technical achievements of my research are incredibly fulfilling, I owe a significant part of my success to the exceptional support and mentorship I received from my principal supervisor Associate Professor Ashad Kabir. His dedication to my development went far beyond traditional supervision. Whether it was spending long hours in discussions, supporting me mentally during challenging times, or addressing my shortcomings with patience, A/Prof. Kabir has been a pillar of strength and inspiration. He has continually motivated me to overcome obstacles and upskill myself, which has been crucial in reaching milestones such as the 3MT finalist honour.”
