Australian Muslim Musings

Impact summary

Australian Muslim Musings is a social media forum I set up to document parts of our research journey and share it with the public. The idea was to engage with the Australian public via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The Facebook page has been particularly successful with followers including academics & researchers from across Australia, SOR teachers, artists, notable writers and members of the public largely within Australia. Since it began in September 2018, the page has grown with over 3000 followers, currently, and increasing daily. Interestingly, the page has just as many non-Muslim followers as it does Muslims and interaction is ongoing and engaging. The page has expanded in terms of scope as I am addressing public interest as well as the long term vision of the CISAC projects.
