The Grounded Theory Research Group is a network for Academics and Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidates to share their work and ideas around the Grounded Theory research methodology and other qualitative methodologies. The group promotes grounded theory and other forms of qualitative research and members are at all stages of research, including doctoral candidates, early career researchers and experienced researchers and research supervisors.
The philosophy of the Grounded Theory Research Group is to utilise grounded theory and other qualitative methodologies in researching individual and community wellbeing. We express this as being the environmental, physical, financial, social, cultural, psychological, and organisational factors that contribute to a meaningful life for individuals and that promote the public good. This is envisaged as a network of multi-disciplinary and complementary research activities across a range of research areas that are linked through their use of grounded theory.
