Amanda is a registered nurse (No. NMW0001679469), academic and researcher.  Amanda has completed a PhD focusing on how entry to practice pedagogies in specialty areas, such as perioperative nursing, are shaped by their single entry point of employment.

Amanda's varied and interesting career in nursing has spanned undertaking initial nursing education in the year it first transferred to the higher education sector, becoming a midwife, a perioperative nurse, a Nursing Officer in the RAAF, project work in NSW Health, to being a Nurse Educator in the public and private sector, locally and overseas as well as TAFE and University.

Amanda has qualifications in nursing at Master's level including a Graduate Diploma in Nurse Education.  She has had many years of teaching experience at the undergraduate and post graduate level, encompassing face to face and online modes.
