Annabel has had 30 years in the nursing profession, firstly as a clinician and for the majority of her career as an academic. Clinically, Annabel worked in primarily neurologic areas, such as medical and surgical neuro, spinal, general and neurological intensive care units, and anaesthetics. 

Annabel has been an academic for 22 years working across three different univerisities. Annabel has a strong interest in high quality education and student outcomes. 

Teaching

Annabel joined Charles Sturt University as an academic in 2005 after a five year period at University of Sydney, with some casual work at the Australian Catholic University in Sydney.

Annabel interest and contribution to teaching:

  • Curriculum development and leading curriculum reviews
  • Developing teaching materials for student support
  • Convening and teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Delivering professional development in systems and education to colleagues
  • Policy work around development of local instructions for use, policy interpretation.
  • Assisting the School with student concerns and matters

Research Interests

Annabel's research has been in areas such as shiftwork, Parkinson's Disease and education.
