Dr. Angela T. Ragusa is a sociologist who critically examines social change in complex societies, locally and internationally, using qualitative and quantitative research methods. She researches challenges relating to the environment, consumerism, mental/physical health & well-being, communication, sustainability, and animals. How culture/sub-cultures affect social/self identity and exploring how/why individuals negotiate the systemic influence of social systems/social institutions (i.e. media, science, education and health) to produce change (i.e. legislative, community, policy, personal) are key areas of interest.
