Bryce Blegen is the Regional Representative, Americas, and an Adjunct Senior Lecturer for the Centre for Customs & Excise Studies, Charles Sturt University.  He is also CEO of Trusted Trade Alliance LLC, responsible for managing the organization's global activities from its headquarters in Vancouver, Washington, USA., and a Managing Director of the Trusted Trade Institute.  Previous positions include the role of president of one of the leading providers of global customs and trade software solutions, and 15 years of experience in senior legal and import- and export-compliance positions at two of the globe's largest automotive and diversified electronics manufacturing groups, with postings in the US, Germany, and France.

Mr. Blegen's work is focused on the provision of professional advice and training in the areas of global import and export compliance, supply-chain security, and cross-border process optimization. He has been active in spearheading customs simplification and trade facilitation initiatives in the U.S., Mexico, Europe and China, working closely with trade associations and government officials. He served as co-chair of the 2008 and 2010 World Customs Forums at the World Customs Organization in Brussels and in Istanbul, as well as of the 2012 Global Customs Forum in Sao Paolo, Brazil, and is a member of the International Customs Law Academy and of the American Council on Germany.   Mr. Blegen is a frequent speaker on customs and trade topics in the US and Europe. After university studies in Minnesota and Germany, Mr. Blegen received a Juris Doctor and a Master of Arts in International Studies from the University of Denver. He has been admitted to practice law before the US Federal and Illinois courts since 1990, and is Of Counsel to the Chicago-based law firm Page Fura P.C.
