Colin Starkey

I am currently on the road to completing my PhD. I am focusing on Grapevine Trunk Disease and what we can do as producers to minimise our risks. Before this, I was a vineyard manager for 4.5 years, growing grapes in different regions in NSW. I am currently actively involved in Viticulture in the Wagga Wagga region whilst completing my PhD studies.

I have had past research experience, with 3 Q1 publications on Meat Quality, and co-authored another paper.

I am passionate about R&D, especially in the area of extension. The producers are the best source of knowledge and know the problems and questions at the root level, getting these questions answered and disseminated back to the producers will benefit the industry as a whole.
