Research Interests
Jessamy completed her doctoral study at Charles Sturt in 2019. The thesis is titled ‘Pedagogies of educational transitions: Educator networks enhancing children’s transition to school in rural areas’. The doctoral study formed part of a larger ARC-funded research project titled ‘Continuity and change in curriculum and pedagogies as children start school’. Chief investigators of the larger project and PhD supervisors were Emeritus Professors Sue Dockett and Bob Perry.

Teaching
Jessamy currently teaches across a range of early childhood and primary subjects both on campus and online within the Bachelor of Education (Birth-5) and Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary) degrees. Jessamy's subject expertise ranges from Work Integrated Learning (WIL) (professional experience), early years language and literacy, early years mathematics, science and technology, early years creative arts education, analysing learning in the early years, and educational transitions.
