Jodie is a dedicated health management and public health professional with extensive experience across policy, change management, and clinical redesign within NSW Health. Her career has spanned both domestic and international contexts, including consultancy roles with the World Bank and health organisations across the Asia-Pacific region.
Jodie’s research interests focus on service evaluations, workforce retention, and quality of care, particularly in the Pacific. She is passionate about health as a human right and is deeply engaged in examining the structural and systemic factors that enable or hinder health equity. Her work critically explores how policy, governance, and organisational culture shape healthcare access and outcomes.
She has supervised higher degree research (HDR) students, fostering emerging researchers in health management and public health. Her commitment to evidence-based decision-making underpins both her research and teaching, ensuring a strong connection between academic inquiry and practical application.
Currently, Jodie teaches a range of health management subjects and enjoys developing innovative and engaging learning experiences for her students. She is committed to equipping future health leaders with the skills and critical thinking needed to navigate complex health systems and drive meaningful change.
