Personal profile

Judith has a longstanding background in research related to rural healthcare. Research into a nursing pathway for people in rural areas to enter nursing led to research into the development of multi-purpose services to better meet their health needs in a sustainable manner. This led to several projects related to bedside handover and the transfer of responsibility and accountability; how to prepare registered nurses for rural practice particularly in relation to mental health, chronic care and palliative care. Overall, Judith has a strong connection to rural healthcare and an ongoing interest in improving it.
