I have been employed in Mental Health for over fourty years. I have been employed in many advanced practice Mental Health Nursing positions such as Clinical Nurse Consultant (level 3) and Nurse Practioner. I have specialised in Child and Adlescent Mental Health and Perinatal and Infant Mental Health. I have studied attachment theory extensively and have a keen focus on Trauma informed care. I have been teaching into the Bachelor of Health Science (Mental Health) for this past 5 years. This has developed my passion for improving MH outcomes for First Nations people. I have been the Clinical Coordination for the clinical subjects which has led me to develop strong links with industry partners to ensure my students have a valuable learning experience in the clinical setting with their placements.
