Keden is a Registered Nurse who has worked extensively across regional, rural and remote Australia, East Timor and Samoa in a range of intensive care units, emergency departments, remote Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations and for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Keden began working in academia in 2017 and is currently the Head of Discipline- Undergraduate Nursing at Charles Sturt University. Keden is also the School of Nursing, Paramedicine and Healthcare Sciences representative on the Faculty of Science and Health Courses Committee.

Keden has completed a Master of Clinical Nursing (CritCare), Master of Education (Curriculum Development), Master of Business Administration, Nurse Immunisation Certification and GradDip TEFL (Academia, Business). Keden is currently working toward the completion of her PhD thesis titled 'A hermeneutic phenomenological study exploring the lived experience of Bachelor of Nursing students in regional, rural and remote areas studying online'.

Keden is currently working on a number of projects investigating academic success for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, innovative simulation design and Electronic Medical Records.
