Khaled Altarawneh holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Newcastle, awarded in 2011. With a strong background in multidisciplinary civil engineering, his research projects have focused on the integration of geotechnical, environmental, and water engineering. He employs a diverse range of methodologies, including experimental studies, field investigations, and numerical analyses. Altarawneh's research interests span sustainable and resilient infrastructure, geothermal energy and groundwater management, advanced computational geomechanics, multi-scale modeling, soil deformation, soil-structure interaction, and geoenvironmental engineering. His work explores topics such as the remediation of groundwater contamination and the utilization of geothermal energy. Altarawneh excels in bridging the gaps between these interconnected fields, contributing to innovative solutions for challenges in geotechnical and environmental engineering domains.
