Personal profile

Lisa is the Academic Lead for Social Work and Human Services Workplace Learning. Before moving into academia Lisa practiced as a social worker in a variety of health, community, child and family settings.  She has extensive experience in practice leadership roles, including supervision, practice learning and professional development programs.

Lisa’s professional experience has predominantly been in the public sector. With a strong commitment to social justice, she is an advocate for relationship based practice that creates an environment for change, while working to enhance the wellbeing of vulnerable people and communities.

Teaching

Lisa has taught a range of subjects in social work and human services, including theory and practice, child protection, case management, leading human services development and working in human services.  She currently teaches Social Work Field Education 2 in the Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work (Professional Qualifying) degrees.
