Mechelle B.J. Moore is a specialist in anti-human trafficking and transnational crime, with a particular focus on forced criminality, online scams, and cyber slavery across the Asia Pacific region. Mechelle has delivered high-level consultation and training for law enforcement, military personnel, Civil Society Organisations, and international delegations on combating trafficking networks and illicit economies.

As CEO of Global Alms Incorporated, Mechelle's team has set benchmarks in trauma-informed care and emergency management for victims of human trafficking and gender-based violence in Southeast Asia. Founder of the survivor-led program ‘Yes She Matters,’ Mechelle brings over 15 years of experience in child protection, trauma-informed care, and survivor advocacy. Mechelle's leadership has been pivotal in steering the Counter Trafficking Unit and 'Yes She Matters' initiatives, delivering immediate assistance to those in crisis, and advocating for the rights, identification and protection of vulnerable individuals across diverse backgrounds.

In her academic role, Mechelle is contributing vital research at Charles Sturt University on topics of gender based violence, human trafficking, and transnational organised crime, influencing policy and practice in the Asia Pacific region. This work reflects a commitment to integrating scholarly insights with real-world applications, aiming to enhance community safety and uphold human dignity through informed policy-making and advocacy.

Mechelle has been featured in global media, including Deutsche Welle’s Scam Factory: Behind Asia's Cyber Slavery, CNN’s A Chinese criminal network is using modern day slaves, the documentary Trafficked to Australia and many more.
