Dr Kitchingman is an emerging academic within the exercise sciences having contributed to the field both nationally and internationally. Dr Kitchingman has diverse research expertise which spans across multidisciplinary areas including sleep and exercise physiology, appetite, women's health, and military training drawn together through the theme of Wellbeing. Key accolades and achievements include the Executive Dean's Award for Academic Excellence at Charles Sturt, the Barbara Wright Post Graduate Scholarship, and the Best Poster Award at the Sleep DownUnder Conference. Dr Kitchingman applies a mixed-method approach to diverse research projects, including experimental, cross-sectional and longitudinal studies and has gained additional qualifications, including a DEXA license and intravenous cannulation. Dr Kitchingman has expanded her research to inclusive practice strategies to reduce barriers for people with deafness engaging in tertiary education and with CSU graduates in Exercise Science and Education, both of which has been funded by the Charles Sturt Teaching Academy. Dr Kitchingman is happy to be contacted about opportunities for multidisciplinary collaborations and HDR projects, particularly within the overarching theme of Wellbeing.
