Personal profile

Shayne is a Senior Lecturer in Diagnostic Radiography at Charles Sturt University. Shayne also holds adjunct senior positions at University of Canberra and University of Exeter (UK), with expertise in computed tomography (CT), diagnostic radiography, and neuroimaging biomarkers. Shayne is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia (HERDSA). Shayne has worked as a CT and ED radiographer in both public and private health settings. 

He currently holds three Masters' degrees, including Master in Public Health (USNW), Master in Health Management and Leadership (UNSW) and Master in Medical Imaging Science (University of Sydney).  Shayne also holds a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education. Shayne was awarded First Class Honours in the Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science (Medical Imaging) and is now completing his Doctor of Philosophy. In addition, he has authored several peer-reviewed publications, and frequently presented at national and international conferences. 

Outside of his teaching, research and clinical time, Shayne is a member of the Board of Directors of the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy, and an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences.
