Personal profile

Senior Research Fellow of Rural Public Health in the Rural Health Research Institute (RHRI). Subash has research experience in global public health, social determinants of health, social epidemiology, and qualitative research with a specific focus on HIV prevention, women's health, maternal and child health, nutrition, cancer prevention, non-communicable disease prevention, and elderly care. In his role at RHRI, his main focus is to investigate the (social) determinants of health and illness in regional areas of New South Wales, with a specific emphasis on First Nations Health. Subash is also enthusiastic about engaging in global health research collaborations and has a proven track record of collaboration in research projects across Nepal, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, Belgium, and Australia, gaining valuable fieldwork experience, particularly in rural and remote areas. Furthermore, Subash is a member of the Centre for Global Health and Odense Risk (Research) Group at the University of Southern Denmark.
