Personal profile

Prof Tanveer Zia has a strong background in secure systems with a specific focus on security for low powered devices, wireless networks, cyber-physical systems, and the Internet of Things (IoT). He also conducts collaborative research in the security of wireless sensor and body area networks, vehicular area networks, biometric security, cloud security, information assurance, trust management, and forensic computing. Prof Zia has extensively taught digital forensics at CSU and has supervised to completion, several doctoral students.  He is CSU contact for doctoral programs in IT.  Prof Zia is currently leading a government-funded project to investigate and create awareness of cyber security in young girls in regional NSW. He is also CSU lead in the Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) and leads the research theme in Privacy-Preserving Data Sharing in Hyperconnected World.
