Dr. Brown (Bill) is originally from the U.S. where he was involved in the development of agronomic and farming systems as well as new plant genetics, weed science and precision agriculture pioneering. He has served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Kentucky Certified Crop Advisors organisation, The U.S. Fertiliser Institute's Agronomy Task Force in Washington D.C. and conducted over 1500 research trials on 30 different crop species. Bill was seconded to Australia 17 years ago to extend his expertise into crop production and retail agri-businesses here. He recently served on several GRDC Advisory Boards including the Single Vision Grains Australia Biofuels Task Force and has worked on the development of investment models for grain production with irrigated and dry land producers in new farming systems.
