This is an award of given to students who present their outstandingly research in the area of grain science. The award was given for my presentation entitled “Changes to the phenolic composition and antioxidant activity of pigmented cereal grain extracts following simulated in vitro digestion and Caco-2 cellular transport”.

My research is exploring the bioavailability and health properties of coloured whole grains. This ties in well with the mission of the AGSA organization which is to ‘’foster innovative grain science and promote a sustainable grains industry with positive impacts on society.’’
