Project Title: How to make users’ manuals – building growth rings as a survival strategy for performance-dependent heritage My PhD research tested a model of making manuals to extend the life of heritage items that rely on a combination of technology and live performance. A new manual was created once again using a particularly pertinent case of performance involving technology and live performance, 1970s expanded cinema. Horror Film 1 (1971), a landmark artwork by British artist Malcolm Le Grice was the case study. Public outputs included a talk for the CCCR 12 Sep 2022 'Body Knowledge and Instructions' https://canberra.edu.au/events/Home/Event/461685 and a series of performance in the 2022 Canberra Art Biennial https://contour556.com.au/artist/louise-curham-lucas-ilhein-nicci-haines/
