Modelling Algal Blooms under Varied Climatic Conditions Using Historical Data-Driven Approaches in Australia: A Pilot Study

This pilot study will involve the following research activities:
1) Conduct a comprehensive literature review to understand the research topic in detail and identify robust data science methodologies to design an advanced model.
2) Gather and consolidate the Wagga Wagga City Council’s historical records for Lake Albert, augmented with historical climate data encompassing temperature, precipitation, solar radiation, wind patterns, and water quality parameters.
3) Employ the data pre-processing techniques, including data cleaning and alignment, to rectify missing values, outliers, and temporal/spatial discrepancies and build an analysable comprehensive dataset.
4) Analyse the data with exploratory statistical tools, identified data science techniques and with our proposed model.
5) Communicate the initial findings to the Council and stakeholders.
