SSJ is Q1 Sociology and Political Science (SCImago Journal Rankings). It had a 19% acceptance rate in 2007. When published, I received this invitation to contribute a sole-authored chapter (8.14) to a reputable USA book collection: ... [which] pulls together some of the leading scholars in the field of sociology of sport (Richard Lapchick, Mary McDonald, Jay Coakley, Michael Messner, and Jackson Katz to name a few) and represents a substantial contribution to the field.
